Alleviate Pain
Endodontic dentistry focuses on treating diseases or damage that have occurred to the inside pulp of the tooth. When the soft tissue or “pulp” of the tooth is exposed to disease or infection from a damaged tooth or a deep cavity it can become seriously inflamed. Treatment is recommended right away as the pain and infection can be severe and worsen quickly over time. With years of experience in endodontic care Dr. Riar can help you get the treatment you need so you can continue living pain-free and comfortably.
What Is A Root Canal?
Root canal treatment is a treatment sequence for the infected pulp of a tooth which is intended to result in the elimination of infection and the protection of the decontaminated tooth from future microbial invasion.
Root canal is a treatment to repair and save a badly damaged or infected tooth instead of removing it. The term “root canal” comes from cleaning of the canals inside a tooth’s root. Decades ago, root canal treatments often were painful. With dental advances and local anesthetics, most people have little if any pain during a root canal. In fact, it’s probably more painful living with a decayed tooth. Root canal alternatives include extracting the damaged tooth, no further treatment, or replacing the tooth with a dental implant, bridge or removable partial denture.
Our Process
A SIMPLE PROCEDURE FOR HEALTHY TEETH THAT LAST
First, the tooth is numbed for create a pain-free treatment. A small hole is made into the tooth to extract the source of pain and infection. Next the root canal is cleaned and medicine is applied to help remove any sources of bacteria. The cleaned root canal is filled with a rubber-like material and a dental crown or filling is applied to seal the area. Once your root canal procedure has been completed you are free to bite, chew and speak freely as you normally would with regular adult teeth.
